The full range covers new driveways and replacement, driveway repairs, block paving and clay pavers, tarmac and asphalt, resin bound and resin bonded, concrete and pattern imprinted concrete, gravel and stabilised gravel, natural stone and setts, cleaning and sealing, drainage and surface water, kerbs and groundworks, and patios and paths. Each individual job has its own page explaining what is actually involved.
Repairs are worth calling out because they are the most useful and least advertised part of it. Potholes, cracks, sunken areas, wobbly blocks and crumbling edges are all cheaper to deal with than people assume, and a great many drives quoted for replacement need restoring or relaying instead. That gets said plainly rather than upsold past.
The groundworks end of the trade covers the parts nobody photographs: excavation and muck away, sub-base and compaction, drainage and soakaways, edge restraint, retaining structures where levels change, and dropped kerbs and vehicle crossovers with the council application that goes with them. Those are what actually determine how long a drive lasts.
Around the drive, the same crew and the same principles cover patios, garden paths, side access, steps, porcelain paving, EV charge point bases and ducting, and small commercial car parks and yards. Doing any of that at the same time as a driveway is considerably cheaper than a separate visit, since the machinery and the muck away are already on site.
If what you need is not on the list, describe it on the quote form in your own words. Working out what the job actually is — and whether it needs doing at all — is part of what the callback is for, and a straight 'that does not need doing yet' is a perfectly normal answer.
- Every common surface: blocks, tarmac, resin, concrete, gravel, stone
- Repairs, relaying and restoration — often instead of replacement
- Drainage, soakaways, dropped kerbs and all the groundworks
- Patios, paths, steps, EV charger bases and small car parks
- Not sure? Describe it on the form and it gets worked out on the call
