Macclesfield Driveways is a free way for homeowners to reach one independent local driveway contractor who covers Macclesfield and the surrounding area. Please read the following alongside our Terms of Service.
We are not a lead marketplace
Your enquiry goes to a single contractor. We do not auction it, sell it on, or distribute it to a panel of trades who then compete for your job — and you will not be contacted by other companies as a result of using this site.
We are the introducer, not the contractor
We do not carry out driveway work ourselves, and the contractor is not our employee. They are an independent business, responsible for their own work, pricing, insurance and registrations.
Vetting is best-efforts, not a guarantee
We take reasonable steps to check the contractor's public liability insurance, references and previous work — but we can't guarantee the standard of any individual job. Driveway work has no mandatory registration scheme in the way gas work does, so always confirm the contractor's insurance yourself, ask for their Environment Agency waste carrier registration, and get any important terms in writing before work starts.
Safety
Driveway work is rarely an emergency, and this site will never tell you otherwise. Two situations are worth acting on promptly. A trip hazard — a lifted slab, a rocking block, a step where the surface has moved — is what actually hurts people, so mark it and keep people off it until it is dealt with. And if a hollow has appeared suddenly, is deepening, or sounds hollow underfoot, especially over a drain or a manhole, keep vehicles and people off it: that pattern can mean a void below the surface, and voids give way all at once. This site can get a contractor to you, but it is not a substitute for the emergency services.
Doorstep callers are not us
We never call at your door, and we never telephone you unless you have asked us to. If somebody turns up unasked offering to surface your drive — particularly with tarmac supposedly left over from a job down the road — they have no connection to this site, and there is no such thing as spare tarmac. Any contract you agree at your own door for more than £42 carries a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and the trader must give you that notice in writing.
