How quickly will you call me back?
The short answer
The aim is the same day, and the honest position right now is that it is a matter of days rather than hours — the contractor covering the patch is being vetted before any details are passed on. The acknowledgement email you get says exactly where things stand rather than promising a call that is not booked.

Being straight about this matters more than sounding fast. The site is deliberately new and the contractor who will cover the patch is being checked properly first — insurance, references and a look at work they have actually done — before any homeowner's details go near them. Until that is finished, the truthful answer is days rather than the same afternoon, and that is what the confirmation email tells you.
The patch being small is what makes a quick response realistic once it is running. SK10 and SK11 only means a contractor is not driving across half of Cheshire to look at a drive, so a site visit within a few days is a normal promise rather than an optimistic one.
What happens when they do ring is a conversation rather than a sales call. They will want to understand what the drive is doing now, look at the ground and the levels, and see where the water currently goes — because those decide the price far more than the surface you have in mind. Then a written quote with the depths and the drainage on it.
If the job genuinely cannot wait — a trip hazard somebody is going to fall on, a hollow that has appeared over a drain — say so in the job details on the form and it gets flagged. And if you need it sorted sooner than we can get to you, please get someone else in rather than waiting; that is a better outcome than a delay.
One thing that will not happen: repeated chasing. If the price is not right, or you go elsewhere, or you decide to leave it a year, that is the end of it. No follow-up campaign, no discount that expires on Friday, no calls in six months to see if you have reconsidered.
